2 Fort Worth teens found dead after fishing on Brazos River at Possum Kingdom Lake dam

Updated at 12:50 p.m. Monday with the identities of the victims. 

Rescue crews were searching Friday for two people who went overboard while fishing Thursday night. They found their bodies by Monday, an official with the Texas Game Wardens said.

The two victims, both 19, were identified as Trisharan Khatri and Hikaru Guatram. Both were from Fort Worth. 

According to the Texas Game Wardens official, the victims were fishing on the Brazos River below the Possum Kingdom Lake dam when the incident occurred.

A number of agencies were involved in the search to find the bodies. Crews included the Brazos River Authority, the Palo Pinto Sheriff’s Department, the Graham Fire Department Dive Team, the Wichita Falls Police Department Dive Team, Sacred Cross EMS, AirEvac, the Hood County Sheriff’s Department Dive Team, DeCordova Bend Volunteer Fire Department Dive Team and the Texas Department of Public Safety Dive Team.

An investigation is currently underway into the fatal incident.
